My Three Years With Oscar De La Renta

From 2015 to 2018, I worked with the fashion house Oscar de la Renta. For the entirety of the three years I was an Archive intern, but I also spent a summer at the HQ working in the Global Communications and Public Relations Department. During those three years, I learned about the remarkable history of Oscar de la Renta, awaited anxiously every season to see what beautiful garments the fashion house was going to release, and experienced more than I would had ever hoped.

My First Trip To Paris, France

7/22/2019

Ever since I can remember, I've always dreamed of going to Paris. I have always admired French art - whether it was in the form of a sculpture or a film. For summer break, I had sometime in between work to travel, and what better place to go to than Paris. We spent two weeks total in France. One week was spent in Paris and the other week was spent in Saint Tropez.

Before traveling, I wanted to make sure I saw the famous destinations as well as some hidden gems. I read countless of travel blogs and jotted down recommendations from family and friends. I will say, between the jet lag and the food comas that bread can put you in, there never seemed to be enough time spent in Paris.

Celebrating Tradition & Family In Thailand

12/30/2018

Looking back at this year, hands down, my favorite trip of the year was traveling to Thailand with my family. If there was one place I always dreamed of traveling to, it was Thailand. If you don't know, I am half Thai. My grandparents on my father's side were born and raised there. Working in the modeling industry as an Asian-American, I am often reminded of my Asian identity. Thus, sparked a deep fascination with the country and my family's history there.

Interview with Natalie Hampton, CEO of Sit With Us

9/28/2018

Picture
About a year ago, I had the opportunity to meet Natalie Hampton at the Youth Assembly at the United Nations in New York City. It was the first night of the conference, we started discussing where we were from, what we're passionate about, what brought us to the conference, and our future plans. After exchanging a few words, it was clear Natalie was a truly exceptional person. However, not until the last day of the conference did I learn everything Natalie had accomplished. She was called onto the United Nations General Assembly stage to accept the Outstanding Youth Delegate Award, where she shared her story.

Exploring The Country Of Greece

8/8/2018

What do you get when you have two girls eager to travel, a rental car, and the country of Greece to explore? A road trip of course.

About a month ago, my mom and I traveled to Greece for two weeks. Instead of visiting Mykonos or Santorini, we wanted to see more of the country, so we rented a car and had ourselves a road trip. I was instantly taken aback at how beautiful this country is. To say we had a blast is an understatement.

The Next Four YearS

My college search has been a two-year long journey. I looked at, and traveled to, colleges all over the United States looking for places where I felt that special “Aha” moment. Compared to most kids, I applied to a ton of school because I wanted to keep my options open. And the crazy thing is, I wouldn’t change my college search process for anything.

Winter / Spring Beauty Favorites

2/13/2018

Picture
With the holidays over but the frigid air still present, I have a major case of the Winter Blues. During these chilly winter days, it’s important to keep my skin protected ( and pampered ). That being said, today I am sharing my favorite late winter / early spring beauty products and advice.

Dry skin and dry hair are common problems during times of colder weather. To replenish my skin’s moisture and leave my skin feeling smooth, I use a soap bar with micro beads, moisturizing shower gel, and an intense body butter.

It's 2018! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and happy New Year.

After last summer, I became crazy busy with school work, college applications, and modeling jobs which kept me from creating new blog posts. At the end of December, I had a journal filled with exciting ideas which never were completed. But, it's not 2017 anymore and because I have submitted all of my college applications I am a very happy girl! I will be dedicating much more time to the blog this year and I have some exciting posts lined up.

Empowered Women, Empower Women

10/5/2017

There is a quote by Nikita Gill that has resonated with me lately: "If all girls were taught how to love each other fiercely instead of how to compete with each other and hate their own bodies, what a different and beautiful world we would live in". When I first read this verse I thought “Wow, how completely true!”

Growing up in the modeling industry, I constantly compared myself to other girls. I thought I needed to act a certain way, dress a certain way, and be a certain way in order to be accepted. Nevertheless, it was a long journey for me to understand that there never was, and there has never been, a competition.

On The Road, Colorado

9/18/2017

Picture
Just last week, my mom and I took an impromptu trip to Colorado. It was more of a girl’s week than anything else. We stopped at National Parks to take pictures, spent a couple of days at our ranch, went to the Meeker Sheep Dog Trials, shopped at Peal Street in Boulder, toured Colorado University Boulder and celebrated my mom’s birthday. We were able to see the towns of Grand Junction, Eagle, Meeker and Boulder all during the short visit. It was truly a trip to remember.
